RECIPE: Honey & Turnip Elixir

November is a time when we often gets colds and sore throats. Turnips are packed full of Vitamin C and are also thought to be good for sore throats! Here’s how to make a syrup to soothe a sore throat:

Cut a peeled turnip into six segments.

Spread honey across the cut edges of all six segments

Put the segments back together to re-form the turnip

Place in a bowl and then cover

Leave for a day or so until honeyed liquid has gathered in the bowl
